One of my side projects is an experimental website: wwwwww.timkeay.com
It's where I experiment with HTML, CSS, Flash and Photoshop, making mistakes (some deliberate, some not) to see what happens. I believe that taking the opportunity to play around with stuff, without fear of breaking/ruining something, is an important part of the creative process. If it looks crap, then this is probably the best place for it; if it looks good, then maybe it'll spark an idea for my next web project.
