Here's a selection of sites I find either useful or amusing - sometimes both!

Sitepoint

Sitepoint is a web design company based in Melbourne, Australia. They are also my favourite publisher of web design books. Their site also features a superb community forum, frequented by many talented and knowledgeable designers/developers.

Joomla

Joomla is an award-winning open source content management system. With hundreds of useful extensions and easily-customised templates, it's my favourite tool for building powerful database-driven websites quickly and effectively.

Top Gear

Perhaps the best reason to own a television, is the BBC2 programme Top Gear. Hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, it's packed full of cars, humour and wacky features. The website has various blogs, reviews and downloads.

Dilbert

Dilbert is an American comic strip, known for it's satirical humour about office life. Often a bit "techie" in its content, it's enough to satisfy everyone's inner geek. It's well worth a read, so check it out.

Mozilla Firefox

Unleash the possibilities of your internet experience with this free web browser. Much better than Internet Explorer, Firefox is more secure, more standards compliant and easy to customise with a wide range of add-ons and themes.

Vector Magic

Vector Magic is an online tool developed by an American university. It enables you to convert bitmap images (such as photos) into scalable vector graphics. Simply upload your image and away you go.
